02 / Automated Outbound

Outbound built as a system.

Targeted outbound that starts with account selection and research — not with sending more of a sequence that is not working.

Clarafold's Automated Outbound service builds and runs a B2B outbound system end to end: ICP and TAM definition, list sourcing and enrichment, account-level research, deliverability-ready sending infrastructure, coordinated email and LinkedIn sequences, and CRM routing for replies. It runs as a monthly subscription.

The Problem

Build targeted outbound systems that identify the right accounts, reach the right people and create qualified conversations.

Outbound fails for two reasons and neither is volume. The list is wrong, or the message earns no reply because personalization was decoration rather than research. Sending more of a weak sequence burns the domain and the market at the same time.

How It Works

What we actually do.

01

Define the account before the message

TAM sourcing and ICP research decide who is worth contacting. Most outbound problems are list problems.

02

Research the signal

Account-level research identifies a genuine reason to reach out now, rather than a merge field.

03

Build the infrastructure properly

Domains, warming, deliverability and routing are set up before volume goes anywhere near them.

04

Operate on a testing cadence

Message, segment and offer are tested in a fixed rhythm so results produce learning rather than noise.

Example Workflow

Outbound Personalization Workflow

Researches an account, identifies relevant signals and creates structured personalization inputs a sequence can actually use.

  1. Establish the account context. Business model, who they sell to, and how they make money. Relevance starts here.
  2. Look for a change signal. Funding, hiring, leadership change, product launch, market entry, regulatory shift. Change creates the reason to act.
  3. Locate the function that owns the problem. Identify the role most likely accountable for the outcome you affect.
  4. Find the specific evidence. One concrete, checkable observation — a job posting, a stated priority, a visible gap.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask.

What is automated outbound?

Automated outbound is a prospecting system in which list building, enrichment, account research, sequencing and CRM handoff run as connected, largely automated workflows, while targeting decisions and messaging stay with people. Automation provides volume and consistency; it does not decide who is worth contacting.

How do you protect email deliverability?

Sending runs from dedicated secondary domains with SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured, warmed before use and kept at conservative daily volumes. Google's email sender guidelines (opens in a new tab) require bulk senders to keep reported spam rates below 0.3% and to support one-click unsubscribe; the system is built to stay well inside those limits.

Isn't personalization just first name and company?

No. Merge fields are not personalization. Each account gets a researched reason to contact now — a change signal such as hiring, funding, a leadership change or a launch — captured in structured fields the sequence uses. Accounts with no usable signal are skipped rather than sent a generic message.

Which channels and tools does it use?

Email and LinkedIn, coordinated in one sequence, with replies and booked meetings routed into the CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce) under agreed handoff rules.

How we think about it.

Outbound ·

Outbound Is a System, Not a Sequence

The sequence is the last five percent. Account selection, research and routing decide the outcome before a single email is written.
