04 / ABM Programs

Named accounts, moved deliberately.

Account-based programs that start with why an account matters — then coordinate marketing and sales around that reason.

Clarafold's ABM Programs service runs account-based marketing for B2B companies. It selects and tiers target accounts on fit, intent and a specific reason to engage, maps each buying committee, builds account-level intelligence and coordinates personalized marketing and sales plays against one shared account plan. It is delivered as a sprint or an ongoing program.

Delivery model: Sprint / Program

The Problem

Turn your highest-value accounts into coordinated sales and marketing programs.

ABM usually starts with a list and a tool. It should start with a reason: why this account, why now, and who inside it actually has the problem. Without that, ABM is outbound with a bigger budget and a longer report.

How It Works

What we actually do.

01

Select on fit and reason

Account selection is scored on firmographic fit, intent and a specific commercial reason to engage.

02

Map the committee

Complex B2B deals involve five or more people. We map them, and what each one cares about.

03

Build account-level intelligence

Research on the account becomes the input to messaging, not an afterthought.

04

Choreograph both functions

Marketing and sales run against the same account plan, from the same intelligence, on the same timeline.

Example Workflow

Account Prioritization Workflow

Scores accounts using firmographic, intent and fit signals so effort concentrates where it can actually convert.

  1. Assemble the universe. Compile the full addressable set before filtering, so prioritisation is a decision rather than an accident of sourcing.
  2. Score firmographic fit. Weight against the ICP criteria established in research, not against a revenue wish list.
  3. Layer in intent. Where intent data exists, treat it as a timing signal rather than a fit signal. The two answer different questions.
  4. Add relationship signal. Existing contacts, past conversations and warm paths materially change winnability.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask.

What is account-based marketing (ABM)?

Account-based marketing (ABM) is a B2B go-to-market approach in which marketing and sales treat a defined set of high-value accounts as markets of one: they choose the accounts deliberately, research each one, and coordinate messaging and outreach to the people in its buying group.

How many accounts should an ABM program target?

Fewer than most teams start with. Programs are tiered: a small top tier gets one-to-one treatment, a larger middle tier one-to-few, and the remainder one-to-many. Each tier is capped at what the team can genuinely resource.

Who is in a B2B buying committee?

Gartner's research (opens in a new tab) finds that a typical complex B2B purchase involves six to ten decision-makers. An ABM program maps those roles — economic buyer, champion, technical evaluators, users and procurement — and what each one needs to see.

How is ABM measured?

At account level: coverage and engagement across the buying committee, meetings and opportunities created in target accounts, deal velocity, and win rate compared with non-target accounts. Lead volume is not a useful ABM metric.
